The United States is one of few post -industrialized countries without government-sponsored universal health care coverage. Instead, the U.S. relies on private employer-sponsored health insurance as its preferred way of ensuring workers and their dependents receive the health care they require. As health
care costs increase, however, fewer businesses can afford to offer health insurance.could have especially troubling ramifications for the children of such families.

Health of the Chesapeake Bay
A national treasure, the Chesapeake Bay provides habitats to a wide array of plant, animal and marine life, and also provides a variety of recreational activities. In addition to its value as a natural resource, it is a highly productive region, containing two of the nations busiest ports, Baltimore and Hampton Roads. Unfortunately, over the past two decades its health has become cause for concern.
